MindStudio pricing explained

MindStudio pricing has two parts: a plan fee and model usage. The Free plan costs $0 and allows one agent and 1,000 runs a month. The Individual plan costs $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, and removes the agent and run limits. The Business plan is custom-priced for teams. On every plan, the AI models your agents use are billed on top, at the provider’s price with no markup. So the real monthly cost is the plan fee plus your token usage, and the token usage depends on which model you pick and how much each run sends and receives.

Everything below was checked on 12 October 2026 on MindStudio’s pricing page. Several review sites still list older plan names and prices (such as a $60 “Pro” tier), which do not appear on the current page.

MindStudio Plans in 2026

Paying yearly saves 20% on the Individual plan.

How Usage Billing Works

  • A run is one execution of an agent. Any trigger, manual or automatic, counts as one run.
  • Model usage is charged per token at the model provider’s price. MindStudio states there is no markup, and that you pay exactly what you would pay using your own provider keys.
  • Bring your own key is supported, if you prefer to be billed by the provider directly.
  • Spend controls: you can set per-agent and total spending limits and see the cost of runs per agent.
  • Free plan run limit: MindStudio notifies you as you approach 1,000 runs; to continue, you upgrade or buy additional runs.

“Unlimited runs” on the Individual plan means the plan does not cap how often agents execute. It does not mean usage is free: every run that calls a model adds token cost.

What You Actually Pay: Worked Examples

To make this concrete, take an agent run that sends about 3,000 tokens of prompt and context and receives about 500 tokens back. Using Anthropic’s published API prices as an example (Claude Haiku 4.5 at $1 per million input and $5 per million output tokens; Claude Sonnet 5.5 at $2 and $10), and assuming MindStudio passes those prices through unchanged as it states:

Monthly runsModelUsage costPlus Individual plan ($20)Total per month
1,000Claude Haiku 4.5$5.50$20.00$25.50
1,000Claude Sonnet 5.5$11.00$20.00$31.00
5,000Claude Haiku 4.5$27.50$20.00$47.50
5,000Claude Sonnet 5.5$55.00$20.00$75.00

These are illustrative calculations, not measured bills. Your numbers depend on the model, on how much context each run sends, and on whether the agent calls a model more than once per run. Multi-step agents that call a model several times per run cost several times as much. Image and video generation is priced differently from text. Check the per-model prices shown in MindStudio before you build.

Two things follow from the arithmetic. First, at modest volumes the plan fee is the bigger part of the bill; at higher volumes, model choice dominates. Second, switching an agent from a larger model to a smaller one can halve usage cost, so it is worth testing whether a cheaper model is good enough for each step.

Which Plan Should You Choose?

  • Free if you are evaluating MindStudio or need a single agent that runs fewer than 1,000 times a month.
  • Individual if you are one builder with several agents or higher volume. At $16 a month billed yearly, it costs less than most of the entry plans in our n8n alternatives comparison.
  • Business if several people build agents, you need SSO and audit logs, budget controls across a team, your own models, or self-hosting.

How MindStudio Pricing Compares

PlatformEntry paid planWhat the plan counts
MindStudio$20/month ($16 billed yearly) + usage at costUnlimited runs; models billed per token
n8n Cloud€20/month billed yearly2,500 workflow executions; models billed by your provider
Zapier$19.99/month billed yearly750 tasks; agents metered separately in activities

If you want to test your own numbers, start on MindStudio’s free plan, build one agent, and check the run costs it reports before you upgrade.

Conclusion

MindStudio’s pricing is simpler than it looks once you separate the two parts. The plan fee is small and fixed: $0, $20 (or $16 yearly) or custom. Model usage is variable and passed through at cost. Estimate your runs per month and tokens per run, multiply by the model’s price, and add the plan fee. Then set spending limits before you put an agent in front of users.

Is MindStudio free?

Yes, there is a free plan with one agent and 1,000 runs a month. Model usage is still billed on top, at cost.

How much does MindStudio cost per month?

The Individual plan is $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, plus model usage. Business is custom-priced.

Does MindStudio mark up AI model costs?

MindStudio states that model usage is charged at cost with no markup, so you pay the same per token as with your own provider keys.

What counts as a run in MindStudio?

A run is a single execution of an agent. Each manual or automatic trigger counts as one run.

Can I limit how much my agents spend?

Yes. MindStudio lets you set per-agent and total spending limits and track run costs per agent. The Business plan adds team budgets, usage limits and alerts.
